We all have the same sun

Time zones are defined as areas that observe a uniform standard time for legal, commercial and social purposes. Time zones tend to follow the boundaries between countries and their subdivisions instead of strictly following longitude because it is convenient for areas in frequent communication to keep the same time. But in contemporary life, human connections seem to defy time zones. There seems to be a global consciousness – we all seem to be going through similar things across the globe. As the title suggests, the work reflects that very depiction of time and our movement in time through one image – ultimately morphing into an unrecognisable loop allowing you to lose sense of time as many of us did through the recent pandemic we lived through.

This project was undertaken for the Meta Open Arts Program at the Meta partner center at Gurugram in India.
