BLUED book was exhibited at Vikhroli Skin, a splendid pop-up event by Godrej India Culture Lab in a massive defunct warehouse!
Essay : BLUED book is an illustrated documentation of the use of Taad-Patri, as we call it colloquially in India. Blue Tarp is comparatively inexpensive and typically used as a creative jugaad solution due to the strength and convenience of the material. From Veer Nariman road to Vikhroli, they seem like a second SKIN to the city where saving time and money is the norm. The resulting scenes are strange, at times beautiful and sometimes a funny juxtaposition. This exhibit and its unique format was inspired by the same creative spirit – jugaad.
