Agent Hamyak from Tokyo invited me to be a part of an exhibit ‘Vinyl jacket art exhibition’.

Brief from Agent Hamyak : ‘Our idea is to ask an artist to create a vinyl cover image of your imaginary film’s soundtrack album. The film is totally your imagination, with the theme of Shinjuku, Tokyo. You can create your own title and story of SHINJUKU, then you will create a soundtrack cover for the film’. 

Exhibition Date : 21st of October to 3rd of November 2015

Place : 10th floor, Shinjuku Takashimaya store gallery.

Incidentally, I was in Tokyo in Dec 2014 and I was overwhelmed and mesmerised by the experience of Shinjuku! My imaginary film is based on my experience of coming back to Mumbai with a Shinjuku hangover – reimagining Shinjuku as a part of Mumbai.
